N55 exhaust diagram. Note the secondary cats.

First of all it's still not an x pipe it's a h pipe
its an X-pipe BTW....it crosses over.

the N55 got a different DP (obviously, 1 turbo) and the mid pipes were slightly larger, but the cats and the resonator (E90) and the X-pipe (E92) stayed the same.

The performance exhaust for the E90 had to be cut and fitted to the existing midpipes so the cats stayed in place. The PE gets for the E90 gets the E92 X-pipe.

Once again, Slightly incorrect. This is off RealOem.com. You may be right regarding the Xpipe Hpipe whatever.

I don't understand how they ditched the secondaries AND went to the X-pipe on the Sedan when they never did that before. I guess the single turbo has less hydro carbons than the two in the N54

I guess this is why people with N54 are swapping to N55 catbacks.

Too bad I don't live closer GLWS

Thanks, I have no idea why they did it.

Yes it is cut. Orginally my plan was to keep it, but I really have no use for it and that is why I am selling it. Plus where I cut mine, makes it very easy to weld and where it will be welded, are some of the strongest areas in the metal.
