Anyone can recommend me a good hand wash place in Philly or South Jersey?
So....there's a bunch of road salt on my car. I need to get to washed off soon. It's been brutal cold in the area the past couple days so I don't think I'll be washing my car on my own. I don't usually trust others to hand wash my car but due to the weather I may have to. Any recommendation in the local area? Thanks.

Park n polish in Philly. They're on the top floor of the Bellevue parking garage on broad. The hand wash is $25 and they have always done a great job on my car. I routinely see Bentleys, bmws, mercs, etc. up there. They do full detailing as well.

I appreciate the info. I was actually considering that or "executive auto salon" which is somewhere on the parkway near the Art Museum. How careful are they when cleaning the car and what type of supplies do they use in terms of towels and drying, car soap, etc? Never seen any scratches or anything?

Eh, I'm tempted to say just deal with a dirty car for a week or two until it warms up. This is Philly - cold spells don't typically last more than a week or two. You can wash the car on your own once it gets above 40*F.

It should heat up slightly from this cold blast we're having by next week or so. Do you think it'll be damaging to the car to have all that road salt stuck to the car and wheels for that long period of time?

I thing you'll be okay. It's just a week or two, and modern coating techniques are well equipped to handle that. I find that neglected cars start to show corrosion first on fasteners: nuts and bolts. Look at the bolt heads that hold the front subframe to the chassis. They should be free of surface rust and discoloration. If they are turning brown, you should be cleaning your car more often.
