How Long to get Production number??
I ordered a new 335i last sat (8/18) and the dealer said that he would send me the production number as soon as he got it, which would be about a week. But I still have not gotten it, am I being impatient or is this normal?
Anyways, here is what I am getting... and I am super excited about it!! Here is what I got: Montego Blue Terra Leather w/Brushed aluminium Manual Transmission Premium Package Sport Package Cold Weather Package Navigation System Comfort Access thanks. |

I'm going crazy here without the production number. I called the dealer and he assured me that I'd have it when he originally quoted (5 weeks from 8/18). I don't know if I will survive if I have to wait longer than that.

There's no definitive answer to the OP's question. Ideally, you leave the dealership with a prod#. As I understand it, with coupes, there's a point at which every one is sold, and dealers get x allocated each month. Probably your dealer is waiting to see what's up with the next allocation, and once that pans out they can enter your order. I honestly don't know how they handle the limbo orders. It's like buying a raffle ticket--how do you know the person who sold it to you will put it in the pool to be drawn? Did you agree to an '08? Since there's no price increase, I'd want an '08. gl
