SOS Error- MOST Loop Terminator

I have been researching this topic on the forums for quite some time now, and I know that if you replace the Logic 7 amp and stock oem headunit the optical cables are left disconnected, thus not completing the MOST Loop (which is my current situation). I also know that some people relocate their stock headunit to their trunk to remove the SOS error.

I have read that their is something called a "MOST Loop terminator" and have been searching the forums for information on where to buy this item. Is this just a simple piece you connect to complete the Loop? Any information regarding this is very much appreciated!

Thanks in advance

I think you can reverse the cd install procedure

I think you can reverse the cd install procedure
So instead of adding something into the loop you are subtracting
something out of it.

If you don't want to there are some most jumper parts you can buy.

MOST socket: 61138387214
MOST Termination Loop: 61136917541
MOST Housing: 61136917978

part no's from Technic

So if I just want to "terminate" the MOST loop I just need to buy those 3 parts from ecs tuning? will this remove the sos error that I get on start up as well?

All I know is that if the most loop is dissconected

All I know is that if the most loop is disconnected at any point nothing on it will work accept maybe the radio on stereo or hi fi system. Since its a loop
I don't know why they call this a termination its more of a jumper in my mind.

If you don't want to spend money on parts do the reverse of the cd install procedure accept you are bypassing whatever is not working or what you don't want.

WITH AN AFTERMARKET HEAD UNIT

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...hlight=dynavin

Somewhere in the above thread they tell you how to run a most EXTENSION to the relocated head unit which involves and fiber optic extension not a jumper . You have to relocate the head unit and hook it up if you want the SOS error to go away with and aftermarket head unit.

See entry 29
