It's open, that is correct; air simply passes through under the bumper protrusions/fog light area. It's kind of difficult to differentiate in the pic I posted; the open area you see is actually looking at the rubber underspoiler in front of the front wheel well. I have no scientific evidence, but I don't see how this affects airflow/aerodynamics in a negative way.

Yeah, but I'm not in love with them enough to warrant dropping $600 on both sides.

Looks great, +1 totally love the OEM.

I shelled out the 500 or whatever for OEM CF splitters as well (unfortunately the roads here have taken their toll on them, probably will have to replace with reps, oem= $$$).
