ZF 6hp 19 Transmission Take apart. Picture thread.
I'm just gonna be snapping pictures as i go and update this thread. My transmission is still in the car i was just toying around today. going to pull the transmission out of the car soon and take pictures and update this thread and when I'm all done. ill have a Full DIY with pictures in the DIY section of this site when I'm completely done. in the mean time enjoy!
Just an idea of whats going on. I fried my Trans pushing my car a bit hard. what ended up doing is i got an identical trans to my car I'm gonna pull the valve body out of my Car and ship it off to LEVEL 10 and have it upgraded and 5th Gear should be 300% better according to Pat spoke to him over the phone and he told me everything i wanted to hear so I'm going with level 10... so Valve body is getting upgraded and A higher stall will be done to my torque converter. Valve body and TQ converter will be installed in the Used trans that i got. and the Trans that gonna come out of my car will get a Full upgrade when i have the money in the mean time the the upgraded valve body and TQ converter in used trans is plenty. here are some more pictures of Today, i was gonna have the TRANS pulled today but i hit a slight road bump i thought that we had All the tool in the world at our shop but i was wrong. lol we didn't have the tool do break the nut on the driveshaft and DIFF so I'm waiting on that to come in unless someone has it locally but then i got bored and just pulled the valve body out and ill send it to level 10 tomorrow and when i get the torque converter out ill send it off as well.
moar pictures. What a lightly used valve body should look like.... What mine looks like... (Dat HP) metal shavings and burnd up clutch everywhere!!! Good valve body and my valve body side by side. |
