if you have the hifi system then the stock amp may not know it needs to turn on. did you connect the remote turn on from the aftermarket headunit to pin 13 of the factory harness?

You may have depleted the battery during install.
You may have depleted the battery during the install.
Some have noted all sorts of funny problems when battery is low. While the car is in the awake state it draws .5 amps . Its awake any time you open the doors or unlock it and stays that way unless locked and or undisturbed for up to a half hour. http://www.bawarec.ru/manuals/3er/e9...3er-e90-12.pdf Last edited by ctuna; 02-09-2013 at 11:08 PM.. |

There are no head units compatible with L7 amps
There are no head units compatible with L7 amps other than the OEM head units from BMW. The head unit is optically connected but its not toslink like a home system.
http://www.e90post.com/forums/attach...1&d=1209780605 This is why you have to change to some type of aftermarket amp that can use analog signals . Then you also need to get a harness that runs those analog signals from your new head unit to the amp . typicaly people use and ms-8 because it has 8 channels which almost is as many as OEM L7 at 9 channels. Then they add amps and speakers according to taste. All this is covered in the following thread http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=641323 Also FYI BMW stereo types http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=352586 http://www.e90post.com/forums/attach...2&d=1266451970 http://www.e90post.com/forums/attach...2&d=1260829447 http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=343673 http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=138949 http://www.e90post.com/forums/attach...2&d=1260829447 http://www.e90post.com/forums/attach...1&d=1209780605 http://www.e90post.com/forums/attach...1&d=1209780865 http://www.bawarec.ru/manuals/3er/e9...3er-e90-12.pdf http://www.musicarnw.com/page-2/ http://www.e90post.com/forums/attach...4&d=1278871872 Last edited by ctuna; 02-10-2013 at 02:03 AM.. |
