Business Nav v Prof Nav

What is the difference between the Business NAV and Professional NAV?

Playing with the configurator at the moment and wondered what the extra £300 odd quid gets you (and whether it is worth it).

Thanks in advance!

Pro Nav has a bigger screen and comes with the 'jukebox' in the dash where you can upload your music to the internal hard drive. Something like that anyway. I'd go for Pro Nav based on the bigger screen alone.

...depending upon the age of the vehicle the differences might be different. Older examples didn't have the music element whereas since LCI they do. Bigger screen always seems to be the major difference. What's on the horizon??

Just at the early stages of looking around!

Thinking of changing the A4 (family car). We have loved it but have had it over 3 years now and fancy a change. Looking very closely at the new X3 as a replacement. I really like it BUT it is pricey compared to the other compact SUV's out there.

Did you look at anything else before you got the Qashqai? I had a look at the Kia and Hyundai variants but didn't like the interiors at all. The Q5 is too similar inside to the A4 and we fancy a change. The new Honda CRV is a possibility as is, dare I say it (!), the new Ford Kuga (Titanium X).

Might go completely off-piste and get a new S3 Sportback when it comes out later in the year!

I looked at everything to be honest but gave myself very stringent requirements so only the QQ+2 fitted the bill. Bar the slightly lower rent interior from what we were used to (got the top of the range Tekna spec to soften the blow), wallowy suspension and too little grunt at very low revs it's does a great job. Great space, great versibility, great economy, very low running costs, 3 yrs free servicing (due its first service in 4 weeks), etc. Very pleased with it. Would swap it for another newer X3 tomorrow if the figures would stack up though. The new X3 was my primary target but 12 months ago too expensive.

Main advantage with the bigger screen is that you can run in split-screen mode too.

Cheers guys, much obliged. Sounds like, if I can make the numbers stack up, I will go with the Prof NAV if I get an X3!

You can send destinations to both Business & Pro Nav & let it sort it's own route out but with Pro you can also load a whole planned route from a memory stick, great if you're on a touring holiday or just like using your own preplanned routes.

Pro is much easier & cheaper to upgrade maps on.

DVD drive on pro, CD on Business, (I think), watch DVD films on the Pro

As already mentioned, smaller screen with no split screen facility on Business

I have Business Nav & very happy with it, but I'd gladly bung you £300 to upgrade it to Pro

Also, an absolute must, make sure you have the ARMREST USB
