335i e93 oem top-hifi amplifier internchangeability
Hi guys,
About to order a new stock amp for a 2007 e93 335i. On the realoem.com site, it shows the current amp for me would be part #: 65129181743. However, there are a few part #s above it which have been discontinued (as you'll see in the link): http://realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?...25&hg=65&fg=25 my question is, will ANY of the part #s (even the discontinued ones) work for my car? My car was early 2007 production (April, I believe). I found a cheaper one online for a discontinued part #. Thanks in advance for your help! |

nobody knows? about to pull the trigger on a $500 purchase for a "discontinued" amp - - would really suck if it didn't work. I've contacted the dealer and they state that they cannot confirm nor refute whether it would work.

why not pull the current amp that you're replacing and check the exact name designation part number?
There's a reason nobody can confirm or deny that it'll work: it's a hazardous business buying parts mismatched parts on the hope that they work, thus many people don't do it, thus there's not much information as to functional pairings, thus it's a hazardous business buying mismatched parts on the hope that they work. |

It does not connect to Most Bus= fiber optics that is used to carry all the sound in the car.

Only the L7 and EPS use the most bus for sound.

Unless something has changed very recently the HI FI amp uses analog signals. The Hi Fi amp does not connect to the most bus. see following diagram. http://www.e90post.com/forums/attach...1&d=1209780865 http://www.e90post.com/forums/attach...1&d=1209780605 BMW stereo types http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=352586 http://www.e90post.com/forums/attach...2&d=1266451970 http://www.e90post.com/forums/attach...2&d=1260829447 http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=343673 http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=138949 http://www.e90post.com/forums/attach...2&d=1260829447 http://www.bawarec.ru/manuals/3er/e9...3er-e90-12.pdf http://www.musicarnw.com/page-2/ http://www.e90post.com/forums/attach...4&d=1278871872 Xd600/6 is the most common replacement It has the same number of channels and fits in the stock location . It has the right preamp inputs for the balanced output of the oem head unit. Last edited by ctuna; 02-16-2013 at 06:10 PM.. |
