Quick Q about Regeneration?
Since having my thermostats changed my cars running better than ever..
Had a fairly lengthy journey (for me) last night at about 40 minutes. My lass was driving so weren't flying about - just normal driving. Anyway, got back and parked up and the tell tale signs of a regeneration were there.. The exhaust stunk! and it was really ticking on cool down so there had obviously been some real high temperatures. Main question is, what if it only started 2 minutes before I parked up? And it hadn't time to properly finish its thing? I'm would it start again as soon as the spec is met that it needs? Would be nice if there was a small gauge with a percentage bar that flashes up when its happening, i'd happily go 5 minutes out my way to make sure it finished properly. |

It'll start again at the next available opportunity on the next drive cycle.

Yep as above
If you spot the signs of a regen, rpm sticking abnormally high, revs going higher before auto box changes gear. Sometimes a very slight hesitation low but this isn't always noticable I normall stay out driving until its finished. If you know how to access the hidden menus you can use the temperature read out to figure out when its complete. |

I think it must of started on the way there then when I was driving.. I noticed a slight (ever so slight) reduction in low down power.
I also pulled off a mini roundabout and up a slight incline at about 20mph in a 30 zone and it dropped form 4th to 3rd which it never would normally do. I'm guessing it will probably be done now. How long does it normally take? |
