Did this on my E92 not too long ago. They are different from the E90s in that they do not have the little access panel on the fender well lining. If you look at your inner fender well you will see a number of screws. You'll have to remove a bunch of them to be able to pull the lining back enough to access the bulb. If you have a jack and jack stands, it will be easier with the wheel removed. I did not have access to a jack or jack stands when I did mine so I just turned the wheel to a point where I had easier access. Once you get in there, it is really obvious.
Another tip: the bulbs can be tricky to get seated correctly. Take your time so you don't break anything and get it lined up correctly. Once you think you have the lights seated properly, test them before you button everything back up (i.e. turn on the turn signals and make sure they light up). |

Just swapped out my turns. Turning the wheel and removing the outer 4 screws on the wheel well liner was enough. Absolutely no need to remove the tires. I am guessing the most recent version of the bulbs has remedied any fitment issues because I had no problems seating the bulb or re-installing in the housing. It honestly took longer to turn the wheel and remove the 4 screws than anything else.

Ya I just did mine yesterday and you definitely don't need to remove the wheel. Did you end up getting them changed with no egg yolk? I have that on my car. How can I remove that? Some sort of coding?
