I'm a bit of a newb and still learning, so apologies if this has been covered somewhere. But I'm looking into the most concave CSL style wheels for my 08 335i, while trying to keep the price around 1k per set (give or take a bit). I've pretty much narrowed it down to the Avant Garde M359 and the VMR VB3. I've done a ton of searching and research on both wheels and know they are both popular on these cars. But I have 2 issues I haven't been able to clear up.

First, in photos that I've seen, the AG M359s seems to have a better "concave" look for the rear wheels than the VMR VB3s. My guess is because most photos with M359's on E92 335i's I've seen show a 19x10 rear wheel. Most of the VB3's I've seen on these cars are 19x9.5 in the rear, and don't look as concave.

I do know VB3's come in 19x10, but do these come in an offset that will fit my car without issue (since it doesn't seem as popular)? Does anyone have any photos of the 19x10 VB3's that I can compare to the 19x10 AG M359's?

Also, I LOVE the "Jet Anthracite" finish option on the VB3's and know that the AG M359s only come in Silver or Matte Black. I don't want to spend a ton more on a custom powdercoat, but don't want to have to sacrifice concaveness to get a wheel that comes in this finish.

Lastly, what offsets and tire widths would I have to run with either wheel in a 19x10 to avoid rubbing?

The VMR VB3 is a CSL style wheel and the Avant Garde M359 is a E9X M3 competition style wheel. Both wheels do look great and it all comes down to personal choice. The Jet Anthracite finish is not a standard finish from VMR and is actually a custom powder coat. With that being said, if that is the finish you're interested in, you would have to pay for powder coating either way. In my opinion, the Avant Garde M359 wheels are more concave due to it's design and the widths available.

The Avant Garde M359 setup that is going to work perfectly is the 19x9.0 ET35 with a 235/35/19 up front and the 19x10 ET38 with a 265/30/19 in the rear. You will not need to run spacers and will not have any rubbing issues. Also, would I need a drop with the sport suspension with these wheels?

For the AG M359 the concavity stays the same across widths and offsets, the backspacing changes... this is true for most molded wheels.

Does this mean the front widths would have the same concave as the rear? Hoping to have the front look "flatter" than the rears in terms of concaveness.

You don't necessarily have to drop the car and I think that most would agree when I say that the car will definitely look better with a drop.

That is correct as the width is what is going to determine the concavity, not the offset on cast wheels.

What he means is that if you're comparing the same width, the concavity remains the same no matter the offset (ie. 19x9.0 ET15 vs 19x9.0 ET35). To answer your question, yes, the 19x9.0 will be less concave then the 19x10.

OP, also look at the LC818's. Those would be my preference for these types of wheels. Their 'concavity' starts right at the end of the spokes. Whereas with the examples above, the spokes are flat from the edge of the wheel, and then become concave (look at the third picture in **********s first post).

The T1R is a tire that runs a little narrow. Other tires will fit differently, and wouldn't look stretched.
