Auto headlights work... And then they don't.
Need some help diagnosing this problem...
Sometimes my auto headlights work perfectly. They turn off during the day, they turn on at night, and the adaptive feature works. Sometimes they don't work all that perfect. They are stuck on and the adaptive feature does not work at all. The headlights are pointed straight 100% of the time and on 100% of the time. I haven't been able to figure out if there is a certain set of circumstances that cause it. Thus far it appears to be fairly random. Where do I even start to diagnose this? If this is a light sensor issue, why does the adaptive feature stop working? Could it be a malfunction of the headlight control module and the default busted state is "stuck on" (which I guess I'm pretty thankful it's not "stuck off")? Battery low? My angel eyes stopped coming on during unlocking. I've read in here that it starts to cut off functions as the battery goes. You have an 07 so that's quite some time.

jw, your 100% positive that they dont work on auto setting? cause if you switch the light all the way to the right, adaptive headlights are not active.
plus it should throw a code if they do fail |
