I must admit, BMW sorted this out pretty quickly. I took the car into the dealer at 10am and by 1pm received a call saying that they would replace it.

I'm just waitng for a delivery date now, but at last there's light at the end of the tunnel.

I've asked them if they would consider upgrading me to a 330D, but I don't hold out too much hope.

Good work Keith!

Great News - Its all you could of realistically asked for!!

This shows BMW's customer service does work, once they admit a problem they put it right without too many obstacles and keep the customer for the future. My old boss was exactly the opposite, he would give in disgracefully, when there was a probem, but would make such a song and dance about it he would still lose the customer.

Any idea of how long for the replacement?

Well done!

As Alan says, nothing less than you should expect, but getting them to do it is the trick. I shouldn't think they'll take too long in getting the replacement as you'll just be burning up their money in the old car.

Welcome back to the waiting game!

Hi Guys

What a week!!

I've just got back from my dealer and I've got a delivery date for my replacement E93 already.

It's due on 31/10, but they said ther's a good chance it will be a couple of weeks earlier than that. Not bad 6-8 weeks wait for my new car. they're giving me my old (current) E93 back when it's fixed (Tuesday apparently)

It's not going to cost me any extra and wen the finance is finished, I'll have a car that's 6 month younger so will be worth more at trade-in time

For once I'm impressed with BMW. They've sorted this out really quickly and efficiently. It just goes to show if you talk to the right people things get done.

Glad its all sorted Keith. It just goes to show if you approach things properly, you can get things sorted out.

Now, whats the chances your existing car will behave itself over the next 6-8 weeks

Gordon.
