JB4 ISO / FBO / 110+ Octane

I'm wondering how many of you have been to the track and ran 110+ Octane on your FBO N54's with JB4 ISO and what kind of times did you run?

I'm FBO and went last weekend and best I could do was a 12.6 @ 114mph on Map 7 before I started getting misfires over 4k rpm's. I'm going to be replacing my plugs and hopefully running a better time next week but I still wanted to see what everyone else has been able to run.

Again I'm asking for times for FBO cars with 110+ Octane. No meth, spray etc..

110 octane is leaded gas, which will destroy your O2 sensors, and cats, very fast. Just FYI

I have the AA catless downpipes anyway so that wasn't really a concern. Thanks for the heads up on the O2 sensors tho. I'm going to check next time I go back to see if the fuel used was leaded or unleaded. If it was leaded I don't think it did any damage considering I was running a 50/50 mix of 93 and 112

I think you would be better off running some high oct pump and 30% to 50% e85. New plug would also be a plus. Have you tuned on a dyno?

lol 110 octane is alot of octane is map 7 made for 110? i thought 100+, and if leaded its pretty bad.

12.6 is not that great for race gas. what was your 60' and tires?

Wow..114...That should put you in the high 11"s shouldn't it?

The N54 (10:1) has a little lower compression ratio than my N52 (10.7:1) my optimum octane rating is right around 97/98. I run a mix of VP100 (unleaded) oxygenated with ethanol and 93 pump fuel and with my mods and tune and I can actually feel the difference over pump 93 and run high 12's 103-105 mph consistent.

102 octane is way to high for your N54 and a waste of money, also stay away from leaded fuels....you'll be sorry if you dont! your cylinders do not need to lubricated with lead let alone anything else, I can go on and on about leaded fuels in modern cars.

You should have better performance with (unleaded) 91/93 and 30/35% E85 on map 5. VP also makes C85 (unleaded) which is all ready blended it is ideal for your N54 and JB4 map 5 rated with Motor octane of 90 and R+M2 98 they make this for modded turbo-charged rides!
