From the power output I would say V1.

Driver72, 12 pm on tuesday PST, you can order the new harness and download v2.0. Exciting times. By the way nice 0-60, best I have done is 4.55. Cant wait for my wider CSL's and PS2's to arrive.

Haha, confirmed by Shiv, they where drifting the car. Shiv, thanks a million for this wonderful product you have put out.

Fun revn, im guessing v1.0 since it was only quoted to have 340 bhp, and v2.0 should be more along the lines of 380 bhp.

Impressive? Honda did it in 1988 with the crx and integra.

I am however impressed by the traps of the new m3, outperforming even the almighty procede 335.

I agree. Even with the M3 the mods will come but they most likely will not improve performance. And well-equipped I expect the M3 to be mid 70s. I drove a Procede 1.47 last weekend and was amazed! It is the torque slamming back in the seat that really thrills me. What I didn't like about my e46 M3 is having to be high in the rev range to get the power.

I get some slight rubbing on the outer rear fender lip, (towards the front), over some bumps. I might have to go to 30mm offset instead of my 22mm in the rear.
Hotrod, that 0-60 in 4.4 I got was on a bone stock car with the exception of the PROcede v1.47
Temp was 60 degrees.
Again, 3/4 tank 91 Octane
1424 feet in elevation according to Google Earth
1180 miles on the car.
I have it on video but haven't uploaded it anywhere yet...and the Vbox screen is really hard to read on it anyway.
The fonts are small and I was recording it on my pocket digital camera and it was shaking a bit because I was driving.

I figure that would be good for a sub 4.3 second time at sea level and with 1/4 tank of gas

I now have on my VS7's and General Exclaims 235/265
I'm going to try the run again on the same flat road this saturday with 3/4 tank gas again to see what the difference of just the lighter wheels and better tires will do.
Then I want to go to a sea level area (like by your place) and try it there and with 1/4 tank of gas...I will do a complete 1/4 mile there too, as the road I used isn't long enough for that up here.

BTW, thanks for the update about ordering the v2.0 on the website.
I'll probably have to wait a bit to get it, as I'm working tomorrow and won't be able to pre-order it. Plus I'm sure Shiv's going to sell the first 100 in the first day.
Oh well.

The write-up on the Procede is in the Ampersand section of R&T. It is a big deal in terms of exposure, expect demand for the Procede to increase substantially as R&T has alot of visibility. Unfortunately they made a point of discussing some problems that Shiv had when he switched from stock to Procede mode for them that might scare a few potential buyers off. But nothing else negative, nothing about warranty or CELs etc. They were impressed, as evidenced by the 'best performance value in the world' statement.

In regard to the write-up of the M3, the one thing that caught my eye was the apparent typo for the 0-62 (0-100kph) factory time, which they stated as 4.2 sec in two different places in the magazine. They also suggested that MSRP would be in the low 60s. Oh well, so much for the dream of an M3 in my driveway...

For the lazy people...

Quote:
Let's face it: We all want something for nothing. Trouble is, that rarely happens in life. Then how about getting a whole lot for very little? If you're lucky enough to own a BMW 335i with the N54 twin-turbo inline-6, the tuning gurus at Vishnu Performance Systems have a deal for you: the PROcede Engine Control Computer.

This stand-alone processor (about the size of a radar detector) plugs into the car's factory ECU harness. The PROcede then intercepts the ECU's signals, modifies the codes and sends back new information that lets the car achieve more power. Along with a $1400 Vishnu cat-back exhaust, the PROcede-equipped 335i makes 340 bhp and 400 lb.-ft. of torque at the wheels (versus about 270 bhp and 280 lb.-ft. at the wheels stock).

Fitted with a Quaife limited-slip differential and Rota SVN 18-in. wheels shod with Toyo Proxes R888s, the Vishnu 335i hit 60 mph in 4.4 seconds (versus 4.8 stock) and ran a 12.9-sec. quarter mile at 108.9 mph (vs. 13.4 at 105.1).

Because we asked Shiv Pathak, the company founder, to unplug the PROcede for photo purposes, it took him a couple of tries to get the barometric pressure calibration set correctly when he hooked it back up, causing a loss of boost on the first two acceleration runs. Once set properly, though, the car performed flawlessly. With all that power, the limited-slip diff and the naturally forgiving nature of a BMW, the Vishnu 335i turns into one of the easiest cars you'll ever drift around a racetrack.

The extra power of this system is obvious at every rpm level, with no loss in driveability; even the exhaust is barely louder. And at just $1365 ($2665 if the PROcede and exhaust are bought as a package), the Vishnu PROcede officially becomes the best bang-for-the-buck in the car world.

can some one explain this statement to me.

I have never had to reset my barometric pressure when I undid my PROcede

In the ROAD & TRACK magazine they said the M3 can accomplish 0-62 in 4.2. If thats true then thats real nice, I'm pretty sure someone will come out with a flash or piggyback etc... exhaust, dps, etc... which will probably take it to the 3.9-4.0 maybe. We will see what happens! Only time will tell....

Oh well.
Actually, looking at one of my runs, I got a 4.40 sec 0-60 mph time also. I'm still wondering if going to 265's on my rears will make a huge difference in rubbing issues I am having with my 275/30/19's. Im also wondering how much traction is affected by my worn tires. BTW my rear tires and wheels weigh in at 53.4 pounds. Does anyone know what the stock 18' 255/35/18 Runflats+wheels weigh?

There is great flat, 2 lane road down here that you can run your car. I would love to see how the times compare with my car. Down here, the conditions are great. My car stock runs right at 106mph. A procede with 45-50 more horsepower should have no problem trapping at 110-111mph. I am barely over 109mph, which is in line with the HP claims of my JB2.

Also, have you ran the Perfomance Box at the track? What were the differences? I was always curious how the Vbox can measure the first couple inches of movement, or roll-out? The satellite GPS technology doesn't even have the resolution down to less then 12" any ways. So is it a combination of accelerometer and GPS?

I just read that article yesterday, congrats Shiv for getting into such a big publication. I was glad for the exposure, but at the same time I was thinking in the back of my head about how many service managers at BMW who would otherwise be clueless, now know about piggybacks for the 335. Its not really a concern, but just something that immediately came to mind since a lot of people read Road&Track who wouldn't normally give a second glance to most performance magazines that might normally feature vishnu's products.
