On the other hand, I've been taking my car to Bay Ridge (Life Quality), there's been goods and bads about this place, but my current SA is Dan Wallace Jr. He's pretty awesome so far, no complains yet. Their techs are probably not the best, but typical maintenance so far, it's been a
I've been spooked about Life Quality since everyone has nothing but bad things to say about them. I guess if I'll ever need to do maintenance stuff, I could always give it a try since they're only about 10-15 minutes away from me and it'll beat driving all the way to LI or NJ to get maintenance work done. The thing is I see a lot of reviews saying that they're disrespectful and what not.

They are a bit....cold sometimes, but I'm there to just get my maintenance done. Unlike BMW of Manhattan, they actually get stuff done, and less disrespectful.

BMW of Manhattan is a total joke. Never going back there to get work done.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I've had seriously crap experiences with Pace on multiple occasions. From failing to do a proper alignment (I took it to them 5 times to get it resolved), to breaking suspension parts, to giving me ridiculous excuses as to why the car wasn't ready, failing to notify on the status of my vehicle, and finally for damaging the car on more than one occasion - a dent in the fender which was fixed and some pieces under the hood.

Also had a bad experience on my previous 2008 E90 328i with Ray Catena BMW of Westchester, they released the car to me without finishing assembly of the replaced part - and they had it for 8 days! Again they also failed to notify me of the part being back ordered as well as the status of the vehicle while in their care.

The only 2 dealers I've had good experience with is BMW of Mt. Kisco and BMW of Sarasota (when I'm in FL during the winter).

I think the problem really stems from a lack of accountability at the dealership and that they really won't lose their dealer franchise unless they do something so egregious that they could be sued. This sort of work ethic is like dealing with a kid who sneaks cookies from the cookie jar, but vehemently denies it even as you watch him do it. Ridiculous.

Sucks to see BMW cutting corners like that, although it could just be isolated to BMW of Manhattan.

fwiw Pace BMW always took good care of me.

maybe a bunch of us should just get together and just to stick it to them by forming a little protest about the service they provide. We can just turn this whole event into a meet against BMW of Manhattan, I will volunteer to bring the beer. LOL

I have been servicing my 2 BMWs at PACE BMW for 2 years now. I have had no complaints with their service. As others have mentioned, they take digital photos of the vehicle when u check in to document condition of car at drop-off. The building is tremendous with a nice waiting area too. I plan on continuing bringing my cars to them for the foreseeable future. They also offer coupons and discounts. I recently had synthetic oil change, multipoint inspection and tire rotation done on my wife's X3 for about $89.
