Is it too late to notify BMW?

I ordered a 335xic which is currently scheduled for production. I took a look at the information about the car's specs online and realized they have the wrong leather interior listed. Is it still early enough to make sure I don't get the wrong color interior? I will not accept a car that is not to my specs since I took the trouble to order it in the first place.

This is not a good start to my BMW experience, if BMW can't even get the interior color right on a simple order what else are they going to screw up?

if car is in production now then it's too late, I think you can change order up to two weeks before production.

Instead of posting online and asking, you really should be calling your CA or going down to your dealer and getting an actual printout from the Dealer System.

+1

Call your CA, or go down there and take your copy of the vehicle order.
If it is to late to fix their f*ck up, then explain to the GM that you want a new car ordered or you'll take your business elsewhere.

so, you are in PA, are you in the harrisburg region, and sun motor cars? anyways, contact the dealer tell them that this kind of mistake will not be tolerated, tell them that they either order you another one/fix this one, or you will go to another dealer. also be sure to get the dealer printout because sometimes they do mess up online.....

Call the 800 number, mine has been the wrong color online for weeks (don't ever expect it to change) but when I have them look it up when I call (have called several times) they look it up as the correct color and assure me it will be built that way and the website has that problem all the time.

Believe me I'd call him right now if I could reach him. But its too late at night and I just found out before I posted. He is getting a call first thing in the morning about it. Hopefully its just a mistake by BMW in inputing information because the order form clearly indicates the right type of leather interior.

first, a deep breath.

Owners Circle is horrifically bad at showing the options that the car will be built with. if your CA modified a production allocation that was already in the system, its very likely that owners circle will show the original options/colors and not the updated ones. it could be some, it could be all.

on OC, my car never showed CA, CWP or sirus, but my car has them all.

Call BMWNA, 1800-831-1117, option 2 to get vehicle status. ask for representative. they can check whats really on order.

OC is usually horribly behind reality. My car showed "in route" even though i had been driving it for two weeks.

Don't get upset untill you confirm there really is a problem.

+1 on calling the dealer.

BMW mistakes almost always due to your dealer putting into the system incorrectly...not a mistake at the production line.

this worries me.

I recently placed a order on a 335i...and now I am also worried if the information was put in correct. ~

Call your CA about your order, he should be able to fix it right away.
Good luck

Don't go by OC. It still doesn't show any interior color for my car which is already in production. I've doubled checked with everyone possible so I know everything went in correctly. If you have any doubt if your order is correct have your agent double check and give you a print out of your order. Also call the 800 regularly to verify everything. You can only put so much blame on other people, do everything you can to make sure your getting what you want.

Youre not kidding. I placed an order for a z4 black/black and a white/black 335 showed up. It seems to be way off.

OC sucks! Don't rely on information put up there. Like everyone else says, go check w/ your CA or talk to a rep at the BMWNA 1-800 #

I called BMW NA this morning and found out that they have the right combination on file. It seems I overreacted. The website is not reliable as others have already said. In addition I found out the car should be finished this weekend for manufacturing portion.

Thanks to all who replied, I appreciate the insights and suggestions. Hopefully in a month or two I'll join the ranks of happy owners.
