How useful would such a thing be for the xdrive models?

Properly installed, there is no noise or vibration.

My wife's M-B E350 4Matic (AWD) is noisier than my Quaife, which was the first mod ever for my ride.

Next best reason for a Quaife diff, or any LSD for that matter, besides performance is SAFETY.

When properly installed and setup there is no noise, that is the one of the benefits of Quaife ATB LSD. Unlike clutch type LSD, which can chatter if not setup properly or incorrect type of fluid used.

Of course there is one for your car, at least for the rear. PM us your vehicle model and transmission type and we will reply with price and availability of the Quaife you need.

I have upgraded my monoball control arms, and while steering is shitloads more responsive, there is definitely more of a metallic noise coming from the area upgraded. The stock ones were definitely quieter. My point in mentioning this is directed to the poster who asked about the increase in noise. How would this change with this upgrade?

LSD will give you more traction, but has nothing to do with noise related to your suspension components.
