Rims have wheel locks on them... and I dont have the key!
I was about to change my brake pads on my 335i when I realized the rims have locks on them. However I wasn't supplied the keys to the lock! I've had my tires replaced on my car so im wondering how fountain tire was able to take off the rims and I can't?!
If I contact BMW do you think they would be able to supply me with it. Also why doesn't a 50K car have a jack supplied with it? ![]() |

They give us RFTs as standard so no need for a spare, hence no reason for a jack. Saves them money, gives them one more thing to charge. Sure you checked the toolbox in the trunk? That's where I found mine

after 4 days I called the dealer and they sent a guy over with a master set, of course the only 1 he was missing out of about 30 different keys was mine. It was fixed a bit later after calling other roadside guys, I made sure he got all the other wheel locks off too. You can order one from the dealer but it'll take 1 week to get there if they don't have it, mine qouted me $35 for the key. BTW - they come in twos as well so you can keep one out of the car too. |

If you bring it in to a V.I.P. or place like that they have tools to get them off without the key. Then you could just throw a new unkeyed one in.
Idk. Whichevers cheaper. |
