Number Plate Transfer Question?!
Hello basically i have just bought a E92 coupe and i want to transfer my private plate from my previous car which i still own, however i do not have the V5 Document yet for obvious reasons, all i have is that small green slip of paper where i signed to be the new keeper of the car (V5C/2).
If i go to DVLA with this and all other documents needed MOT ceritificates for both cars etc etc. would they be able to do it? or i would have to wait till my V5 is sent to me from the DVLA? Thank You |

You change the plate over with just the new owner section.
Here is the form you need to complete: http://www.direct.gov.uk/prod_consum.../dg_069390.pdf |

Yes, you should be able to turn up at your local DVLA office with the new green slip, Current MOTs, Current Road Tax Discs for both vehicles, Log book for you old car, and I believe £80.
I did this about 2 years ago on my previous car - you may have to wait until the paperwork arrives through the post until can get the actual plates physically onto the new car. |
