Yes, there will be. You could install a BMS downpipe fix and keep the car stock otherwise.

I've had zero fitament issues with the AA pipes. In fact, I was extremely impressed the quality and craftsmanship. You just have to install them correctly (you can rotate them incorrectly on the turbo to cause them to touch).

If you notice the AA pipes reduce from 3" much closer to the flange than the VSRFs. Dunno if that's material, but a difference.

(second pics shows AA against Racelands).

Active makes great products.

Comparing the two, these look like a 3" version of the racelands with a corrected o2 bungs & a revised turbo flange area judging by the pictures. I haven't had a chance to install a set of these yet so I can't comment on how it fits.

What I do notice is that there are some aggressive bends on that long pipe where our pipe bends flow more smoothly but it could be the angles the pictures were taken. I'm referring to that last picture.

I was just reading another post about an AA fitment issue. More than likely it was the installer who didn't get the pipes aligned correctly. Although the owner ended up beating the hell out of them to make them fit rather than moving them around.

IMOP the only DPs on the market that are a total waste of money are the Racelands. For the $ you can't go wrong with the VRSF pipes even if you have to wait a few weeks. If you want the top of the line, go buy a set of AR pipes. If you want to save some money and get a quality set of pipes at half the price, buy the VRSF. I'm running the VRSFs with no issues. They sound great and they made the stock exhaust sound really nice as well. The only option I would highly recommend is to have them coated.

Have to agree with almost everything here except the idea that AR's are top of the line. No doubt AR's are one of the few downpipes I'd put on my personal car and are fantastic downpipes that fit well and are great quality, but the idea that paying more for a brand automatically classifies them better is the sole reason everyone charges $1k for everything in this market.

If you can get perfect fitment, great design/quality and durability then I believe that will set you apart from the rest.

These will be in stock in 3 business days so you may not have to wait as long as you'd imagine.

VRSF all the way, couldnt be happier with mine. Its time to cut the BMW tax on our performance products, and Tiago is leading the charge.

Trust me… I couldn’t agree more about the AR’s. Over stated and overpriced. I have to admit when the VRSF product hit the market, everyone was skeptical. But you have truly proven your DPs to be an outstanding product for an extremely reasonable price, almost too good to be true… The fact that you are standing behind your product with a lifetime warranty speaks for itself that you also believe your product is an outstanding product.

So for everyone who doesn’t order DPs from Tiago….

FMIC

Hey Tiago,

I have an 08 335xi Sedan, will your FMIC fit it? Also how well does it fit in the fan shroud, is there any trimming required?

Our 5" will fit without trimming, the 7" does require trimming though

I have AA and couldnt be happier. I got them for about just a little bit more than VRSFs (Black Friday Sale) and wanted to support AA since they are local to me.
