No problem with that. My reason for posting was to clarify some things that were posted about the JB4 that were not right. Said before COBB is a good product. Its one of the only two I would use on my own cars. Everybody needs to weigh what feature set is the most important to them also what their budget is. For some guys 400whp for $505 has to be the deal of the century

Will never find out about 50%+ E85 because I don't want to hit the "need a new pump" line.

Ah hah! Sooo, to answer my question in another thread, there is no need for an lpfp upgrade, unless you are planning on running more than 50% E85?

Yeah about 5.5/6 gallons of E85 into a full tank of 91/93 starting at less than 1/8th tank no pump or BMS flash are needed. Around 6 gallons seems to be the tipping point where E85 will start to throw codes & need more support.

I have had good luck with it so far. Logs are good with trims in range at 85 on the fuel open loop setting. Everything else is default on Map 5.

The obvious solution since each car is different if it throws codes just back off on the mix a little.

So you are saying you can run e85 without a tune even?

Hey had a question for you, I have a Cobb with these 2 JB4 maps installed on it. Can you give me a heads up how to use it or how to use JB in conjunction with Cobb...?

What are the performance gains? Also when I do get my protune how can I still take advantage of the set up?

Please take into consideration price, ease of installation, and performance enhancements.
The reason why you see more people with JB4 is for the simple fact its cheaper

Cobb ftw

Cobb. I am running stage 1 and the power over stock is amazing. I have downpipes going in next week which I'm happy about. Hello stage 2 .
Cobb can be used as a boost gauge, you can read codes, you can time your performance, you can see your engine temps and get In-depth on what's going on under the hood. I am really happy with it. Also, I have had a very reputable mechanic, several car enthusiasts, and the owner of a motorsports company all tell me Cobb is better than jb4. Just my 2 cents. I'm not trying to start a flame war and I know many people with disagree. Is jb4 bad? Definitely not, however, I think cobb is superior for my needs as a BMW owner.

Both are great tunes. The JB4 has hijack steering wheel controls so you can make different adjustments make your car run better. Some of us like fine tuning some people like to set it an forget it. What ever floats your boat.
JB4 allows you to custom adjust your N54 motor for best performance thru your steering wheel . For some of us we like playing around to get the most out of cars. For some of you you doing want to get your hands dirty you can go with Cobb its simple and effective just load it and forget it . For reading codes with Cobb you need to plug in your box to read the codes. With the JB4 you just read the codes with your steering wheel controls . If you want to compare both tunes you need to understand both tunes and how it works and the features they each possess . There are both positive and negative aspects of both tunes . but for the price Cobb is more expensive than the JB4 . JB4 is half the price if you buy a used one. Hey Cobb users I bet some of you don't know JB4 has these features available fine tuning features from the steering wheel .

I've heard great things about JB4, but I went with COBB. I couldn't be happier. I'm running stage 1 aggressive 93 oct with aFE DCI. It's like I'm driving a completely different car. Zero issues with installation, love the fact I can flash back to stock map since I have a 5 year 100K BMW warranty.
