Hi Guys,

Can I retrofit a usb port next to aux jack, in my 2006 E90 with professional head unit with bluetooth and phone cradle option.

The reason I ask is BMW said its only available for business head units.

Also is there anyone in the bed/herts/london area who could install and code for me?

This retrofit will work out very expensive.
I'd suggest you to look into new headunits with Bluetooth and usb built in (+dab).
Leemans was selling one in the classified.

I have read that you have to go for business hu for 6fl and that hu is even worst compared to professional hu. Have you checked how much 6fl retrofit kit cost?

Yeah looking at around 300, I did see a video on YouTube of someone retrofit it to a professional system but official reply from BMW is its only for business hu

That is what I suggested in my first post. Get LCI HU with built in BT, USB, Aux-in and DAB options and get it retrofitted in your car. Your you tube video is what I suggested.

If you go for 6FL retrofit without CIC/ CCC, you'd require business HU AFAIK.

No worries. We all learn at some stage. I may fit 6FL in LCI car and will update the findings in a thread.
