Hey Guys,

I'm looking for a little local advice on sourcing a BMW PE for my E90 335xi

I don't live in Boston, but I'm driving up there from Halifax, NS (Canada) this coming weekend - April 19/13 to catch a Bruins/Penguins game and take advantage of your country's lower prices on everything

BMW PE's are hard to source where I am and expensive to ship from elsewhere so I was considering picking one up while I'm down to haul back with me... SO where might I go to find one in the Boston area?

Any help is appreciated!

Looking at new or used - anyone who has or knows someone with one for sale or a recommendation to a good/trusted dealer is also appreciated

I found it at BMW of Monrovia and asked my local dealer to match the price. $968 for a 328xi 2007.

BMW Peabody is the local dealer that matched that price. Try BMW Stratham too, then you don't have to pay the sales tax.

Won't customs have a fit when you cross the border with it? It's a BIG box.

No customs if he installs it here and brings used parts back..right? I want a PE or a cheap exhaust from an 335is.

Meh. Half the time they don't even look. Plus I'm allowed a certain dollar amount - hopefully I can fudge it.

I called Stratham and the parts guy told me there was 4 in the USA, the closest one being in Jacksonville FL, and quoted me $2042.30

This seems outrageous since I found one on eBay being sold by a dealer in Jersey and California for $1300.

Might call Peabody tomorrow and see if they have one im stock and they're willing to match

Anybody have any other suggestions?

You have a 335? Yeah, that one is probably more expensive. $1300 isn't bad, I suppose.

There doesn't seem to be a 335 PE in all of Boston. I'm surprised not a single dealer has one given its one of the bigger cities In the eastern US.
