I've leased and returned many vehicles, a couple were BMW's, when I was self employed.
As far as your punch list, get the ding ring from the dealer or BMWNA, call and ask they'll send one. If the dings clearlty fit within it it's wear and tear. On the scratch, does your fingernail catch on it when you run it across, if not do a quick detail prior to returning. The rear bumper they probably will ding you for if they are that noticeable. Tires need to be same type and size, look on all the boards for used RFT's in decent shape and install right prior to return. Interior issue sounds like normal wear and tear. Curb rash they will charge for, could have them fixed or just pay, Check locally what you can get them fixed for, lots of detail shops do this as well. One side note on the dings have the document and ding ring with you when you turn in and expect to argue the point if you are not buying/leasing another. I bought my last car out of the lease and they still put on the turn in list a scuff on my right lower bumper from a tire, and I was buying it out cash. They have to do certain things a certain way, it's BMW's way. |

Again, I had some rash on the bottom of my front bumper from curb stops. My personal experience was not a peep from the dealership when I turned it in. From the sounds of it there seems to be a huge variation on what can be acceptable or not. I had three lightly rashed wheels, two rear tires right at the wear limit, some scratches that I touched up myself, and some curb rash under the front bumper. On the other hand I was also 10k miles under the mileage limit and I was leasing another BMW from them and not their competition. The sales manager just smiled, said the car was in great shape, and had me sign off on the inspection. Maybe he got laid that day. Who knows.
