Angel Eyes - 6W or 10W

Hi all,

I am a little confused about which which LED bulbs to get for my E91.

I have a basic E91 2009 LCI with bog standard Halogen headlights and Angel Eyes.

I am torn between whether to get the 6W Leds for the angel eyes or the 10W.

These are the ones I am looking at:

6W

10W

Will the 10W look too chav?

Opinions greatly appreciated.

Thanks - Was!

Dear Was,

The light output differences between 6W and 10W is practically negligible. You should note that both pictures examples are taken at dusk and hence brighter.

Ultimately you want the best light output per daytime use when your angel eyes will most likely come into play! Therefore the 10W is the better of the two!

Best regards,

Ish

I have 10w AE which I got from the states & whilst they look good in dim light & are visible in daylight they're not exactly an attention grabber (ie DRL) I'd hang on to see what 1sh@Crystalwhite comes up with

Can you not get the 40w CREE ones or are they xenon only?

Have you spoken to SSDD? The ones I had for my E90 were pretty good (not as good as LCI DRL but not bad)

I believe the 40W CREE are Xenon only... hence we halogenites have to settle for second best (ATM)

Spoke to Teddy, however ended up ordering these 10W ones at half the price. Will try them and if they are no good, then will go for 1sh@CrystalWhites.... (once they become available)

The are for Xenon lights only... this is the problem..

**Does not fit LCI models with Halogen Lights**
