Newbie 335i
Hi People, thought id introduce myself on here , as il be doing few bits to my 335i which i brought December last year. Its E92 335i 2006 6AT SE model.
Since owning it Ive put some 19inch BBS LM reps on the car , fitted a M Sport front bumper. I believe the car has had a remap , as it i made 301whp weather uncorrected. and 289whp corrected. It does go well to be honest. I do alot of trackdays as a hobby, i have a Mini cooper s which is nearly 300bhp, all stripped out roll caged etc, runs meth too, currently has bilstein challenge spec coilovers valved for slicks , these were nearly £2800 new. quick picture of it. Anyhow i went to Goodwood trackday last week in the 335i which is completely stock. After doing this day i discovered what the car needed badly a LSD, i was very impressed with the car!! out the box they are brilliant ! it would def need a oil cooler for sure and bigger FMIC. I sourced a e92 M3 rear subframe! This will be my first mod! I collected it today. Well these are my plans so far. Il start a project thread soon. Thanks Paul |

Another m3 rear end into a 335i. Look forward to see it mate!
Welcome aboard! Where abouts in the London area are you? Great vid! That mini looks mental! Are you going to do the LSD work yourself? |

Im based in Enfield North London. Il be putting the subframe on myself! Will need to get the prop done else where though. Im hoping the the m3 Shafts will fit into the 335i hubs, Reason for this is the m3 rear brakes will work out bigger than the front brakes. Ive not got the ££££ to be going for big front brake conversion. does anyone know if i can use all the alloy rear arms on the 335i hubs and subframe??

Yup Idnan is da man! He has carried this swap out already!
Share the info with ll of us please who are considering this too. Did the rear subframe set you back much? If you do not mind me asking. Just wondering what I should be looking at spending... |

Once I've helped Paul out I'll take some time and write up my thoughts and info about doing the swap. Due to the nature of the project it can be done in many different ways.

Welcome and nice car..
If you think it's had a remap but aren't 100% sure I'd either get it flashed back to standard or get it mapped again by a reputable tuner. It could have any old map on it at the minute causing all sorts of damage etc if it's running lean etc. |

I had it on the Dyno few days before i went too goodwood in the 335i just to check, mainly for the fueling , its all spot on. I know theres probably better maps out there though, as it doesnt really get going untill 3k, theres some good maps out there running less boost but make same power than the high boost maps as they have better fueling and ignition. Il probably go to Evolve as they have been developing there maps since 2007 so should have a good one by now.

AFAIK 390 BHP is pretty achievable with a tune alone. For track as you have already said you will probably want an FMIC and oil coiler else you will end up in limp home mode! |

That will be sound mate if you've had it checked out... Last thing you want is it taking a beating on track while runnin lean. Would be taking home a box of bits like. Enjoy. |
