Procede - Aggressive v5 9_10__ maps over 11_1 - Recommended?
Currently running 11_1 aggressive maps and love them.
I searched and can't find a thread on the 9_10 beta map, and what it provides over the 11_1. Can somebody enlighten me on: 1) where the review is for the 9_10 map 2) what 9_10 gives me and whether I should upgrade to this, or whether 9_10 only is for the single turbo stuff. Thanks in advance. PS: I for the life of me cannot figure out the naming convention on these files... can someone tell me why 9_10 is newer than 11_1 it makes no sense to me.

I guess time is relative so when he says shortly, I guess that is up to interpretation but that means a minimum of 2 months from what I've seen. |

vishnu has left many of us with the stocks turbos to fend for ourselves.....this is why many users have left for other TUNES being JB4 or COBB. I have personally left the vishnu route and went to the JB4, and damn is the support and the newest maps great!!!! Hope vishnu gets their heads out of their asses and comes back to the playing field.
I do understand that the 'Single turbo' is something that need attending to as well, but thats only 5% of all of the n54 guys, the other 95% would still love some support. |

They have been working hard on the ST stuff and their work is respectable there. Unfortunately they have a bad reputation of doing maintenance on tunes already out...

yeah, vishnu's customer support is nothing like before, all they care about is ST and get higher WHP than TT but they left out most of us here..

My car is the test car for the new firmware. If you want to blame someone for the delay in the release, blame spec and their ridiculous turn around time. I had my stage 2+ clutch installed after waiting 2-3 weeks for it to arrive from spec, just finished breaking it in, and dropped the car off this morning, give it a week or two and I'm sure you guys will have the new firmware.
And just so you guys know, Vishnu hasn't abandoned the stock turbo guys. But if Cobb is more your thing, go for it! If you're patient, you will be pleasantly surprised

The 9-10 update is as following: Mapping/Firmware changes: Added 9-10 1) Default Wastegate Position is 50%. It has been reduced from 90%. Added 5-23 1) Fixed a mapping error with 6MT Stg 3 map in which the ignition advance map2 was equal to ignition advance map1. This resulted in a unnecessarily conservative ignition advance when running lower-than-100% ignition correction values. No other changes to any other map or firmware. Added 4-23 1) Rescaled Open Loop Fuel tables too allow for a wide range of user adjustability. As such, the default Open Loop Fuel setting is now 75% instead of 90%. 2) Minor changes to boost target tables. Added 4-19 1) The Stg 3 6MT version of the 4-12 map was still had fuel mapping from the 3-17 version. This single map was updated. All the other maps are unchanged. So unless you were running the Stg 3 6MT map, you don't need to update anything. Added 4-12 1) No firmware changes. If you were already running the 3-17 Aggressive maps, all you need to do is upload these new maps. No need to update firmware. 2) Revised Fuel mapping. Should eliminate the low fuel pressure codes that a small percentage of users are getting during sustained highway pulls. 3) Revised boost target scaling allowing for more adjustment range in the negative direction. Default boost settings for all maps are now 40%, instead of 15% as with previous aggressive maps. Please note that actual boost targets are equivalent and that this represents a scaling change only. 4) When using PWM methanol injection, the suggested boost and ignition correction setting is 100% Boost and 0% Ignition Correction, as opposed to 65% Boost and 0% Ignition Correction. This change in boost % setting is a reflection of the scaling changes we made to allow for more a wider range of adjustability. Added 3-17 1) Revised leanrun fault conditionals to prevent false trigger. Raised RPM threshold from 1000 to 10,000RPM. Added 3-13: 1) Minor throttle blade mapping changes for 6MT maps. This will reduce the amount of throttle closure that occurs above 6500rpm. 2) All aggressive maps are now officially approved for 91oct use. 3) Incorporates Dynamic Methanol Injection Targeting logic. This means that the Injection Mode user adjustable value can now be set even closer (or even equal to) the maximum flow value. We recommend setting it 2-3 points lower than maximum meth flow (flow at 100% Methanol Injector DC). 4) User Define-able Lean-run Protection now enabled. 5) Meth overflow trigger has been revised. It now triggers when actual meth flow is 15 greater than the injection mode value for more than 1 second. Added 11-25: 1) A Stage 0 map has been included. This is a more conservative version of the Stage 1 map. It has lower boost targets and more top end boost taper. It is intended for those who live in extremely harsh conditions (high altitude & poor fuel quality & high temp) and find the Stage 1 map to still be too aggressive. 2) Enabled Hard Rev Limit feature (Digital Outputs -> Hard Rev Limit). For use in 6MT applications. 3) Revised ignition advance mapping for Stg1 maps. Lower ignition advance targets above 6000rpm. 4) Revised fuel mapping for Stg3 maps. Higher Open Loop fuel values under boost above 5000rpm. 5) The option for Rev3 users to use the "Dedicated PWM I/0 Channels" firmware version which enables the dedicated PWM input/output channels on the Rev3 circuit board. This allows the Procede to support PWM meth AND the speed delimiter feature. Both of which are mutually exclusive on Rev2/Rev2.5 platforms. Rev3 users who are currently running PWM meth will have to revise the wiring on their harness if they want to take advantage of this special firmware version. If they do not wish to do so (and don't want to re-enable the speed delimiter feature) they can simply run the standard version of the firmware not not make any wiring changes. But for those who want to make this change and restore their speed delimiter feature, please read the "How To Enable the Rev3's Dedicated PWM I/0" guide also included in the map folder.

I did put a call in to Vishnu and they did call me right back - First thing on Monday - great response time ! I remember waiting for PWM meth for a LONG time and this single turbo does seem to be doing the same thing for a small amount of users. The 90% of Procede customers - your bread and butter - should get more attention in my opinion.
