I believe that is the light that comes on when turning. It illuminates either the left or right side of the road depending on which direction you have your turn signal. I've also noticed that they're on when your in reverse. Other than those conditions the light isn't illuminated.
Mine are accessed from the top of the headlight housing. There are two small screws and a cover that comes off. If you unplug them you'll get an error. I'd verify if they are illuminated while driving and not turning. Mine aren't illuminated. |

Sleepy,
I have a 2007 335i sedan also, and I have done this. Here are some steps. 1. Go to Realoem.com Enter the last 7 of your VIN. This will tell you the production month and year of your car. If your car is produced march 2007 or after, then you have a FRM2 module, and you will need to get your car coded to do it do the AE(angel eyes) are on when driving and not DRLs. I also recommend deleting the orange corner lights. (ugly) If your production month is before march 2007 like mine, then you have to do it manually via a harness install. So reply with your production month and if you have iDrive or not? Also, are you in Canada or USA. This matters. PS: don't unplug anything. Subscribed. DN |

My car is a 2008 so i guess it has the FRm2 formula. I'm in USA, Yea i will definitely get the amber corners coded soon. If i get angel eyes will that bulb automatically stay off once the new bulbs are in say for ex lux angel eyes or mtec ?

The AEs are the round rings only. Do you want them on or off while driving and the light switched OFF? The lux or any other LED light bulb you install will only change the color of the AEs. Nothing else. You still have to code your car for the following: AE as DRL DRL inside bulbs OFF. I recommend, coding what else you want at the same time also. DN |

Your only option is to code it. Also, I don't like the yellow colored rings. I changed those bulbs to 10Watt Cree AE bulbs. And I changed the fog light bulbs to LED white so they match. I got both bulbs from www.bmwled.com Good products, awesome service. He even has his cell number on his site for immediate questions. Regards, DN |

1) replace your FRM1 module to a FRM2 module. Located in the drivers side kick panel. Aka: drivers side foot module. 2) get a DAEOS harness and install it. And code your DRL to OFF. And your done. If you are planning on upgrading the AE bulbs to LED, then I strongly recommend www.bmwled.net. Get the fog light bulbs to LED also. Once you upgrade the bulbs, you will need to code out the bulb error check also. Option 1 is way too much, and dealer will rape you, totally not worth it. DN |
