what is this?
what is they grey stuff on the brake hub? i just bought a new car and this was on there and it appears to be preventing rust.
on my old car, this stuff wore off and the hub began to rust. i want to know what this stuff is so I can use a wire brush on my drill to clean then reapply periodically to keep things looking nice. any help would be greatly appreciated. SEE PICS. Thanks.

looks like they painted the hat.
ya, brush it off with your wire brush bit like you said. maybe rub a little NO-OX-ID on it after you do, so you wont have to brush it again. If you want to get legit, spread some more on when autumn hits... that's if you live where you'll see snow in the winter. |
