Wow, thanks for the pics. That museum looks very well executed. The parking lot looks about as interesting to walk through as the actual museum!

AWESOME pics Marco!

When ever I visit Porsche... its like my second home. Did you also pop into the P-Zentrum across the street? They usually have some cool cars on display there. That is also where Porsche Design sells some cool stuff(inside the dealership).

I also like to walk up the street and see the old HQ building where the Special Wishes Dept is and Porsche Teile(parts). Normally you can say you want to go order some parts and they let you in. Inside teh courtyard is where the old Porsche Motorsports Dept use to be located.

Yea... most German museums are closed on Mondays. Also probably today May 1st, since today is a German holiday(labor day).

The only museum I know of that is open every day of the year is the Sinsheim (& Speyer) Museums.

All this time you have been growing up in DE and you never visited Porsche! lol I am glad you finally made it there.

Now you need to take off May 13th and drive with us to the Gross Glockner Pass after the Welt 4.0 car show.

I visited yesterday, absolutely amazing museum! And the dealership across the street was fantastic. They had a couple last generation GT3s for sale and what looked like a Boxster waiting for its new owner under a red sheet. We also hit up the Mercedes museum on the other side of town. I'll post up some pictures this weekend.

I hope you don't mind me adding a few photos to your thread. I didnt want to make another thread.

Heres some other angles and cars from the museum.

I took Dackelone's advice and went across the street to the dealership / design shop. The shop was alright, not too much and everything was super expensive. There was what looked like a new Boxster waiting for its new owners inside too. I would have loved to stick around and see their face when they unveil it. Plus a couple GT3s were available.

Over all I was extremely impressed with the Porsche museum. If I ever decide to buy one new, I'm going to go for the European Delivery program and visit again.

I was a little pissed off however that a large group of Japanese tourists cleaned out the museum shop before I got there. They apparently cleaned out the store's supply of small 911 GT3 RS model cars. For 8 Euro each they were a steal, but EVERY SINGLE ONE of them bought that car and there were none left. I bought a 918 Spyder model instead. We went to the Mercedes Museum after Porsche, I'll be posting up those photos shortly. Both were well worth the trip for anyone who finds themselves in Germany.
