Lowering the car

Now that I have new wheels, I have realized its time to lower the car an inch. Does anyone know of a place around Orland Park that would give me a decent quote. I tried one place I found online already, and I was quoted $800 + tax for new springs. Any ideas out there?

Rennology is the only place in the area I know, which is in Oak Forest. Obvioulsy get a break down of labor hours and parts, you can always negotiate.

Garage List
I know 2 BMW techs from BMW Orland park that can do it for you, but you would have to decide on what you want. Springs, coilovers, etc.

I should have noted that the $800 included the springs. Does that sound decent? What are a decent set of springs I should be looking at?

the only two brands that make springs specifically for x-drive is the h&r and eibach. be sure to get the correct model number. springs cost about 300 +/-

Eibach does not state they fit for xi, but they do, I have them on mine

And to the original question, 800 is nuts, buy the springs and make the drive out to northwest burbs, there are plenty of shops that will do it for cheaper
