iDrive knob possibly broken?
Hey everyone, my 2007 e92 has iDrive but I think something is wrong with it. From what I remember of my friends e90 (2005?) his iDrive knob would resist and skip pages if you were navigating through an mp3 cd. For example I'd turn it to the right and it'd sort of push back to the left, but it would still scroll through the songs. I'm wondering if this is a feature they left out of the 07 e92 or is mine just busted? Mine hasn't had feedback since day 1 so I'm a bit skeptical.
thanks to all. |

You're referring to the old haptic control - that resistance you felt. From what I understand they've changed this - as of March '07 builds - to the 5-series style iDrive knob where it sorta clicks through instead. If that's the case then your iDrive is probably fine. Mine's an Oct. '06 build, so I still get that resistance you're referring to.
