New to detailing.. Couple questions

Hey guys so I wanna get into the detailing scene considering my car could use a nice detail. I'm picking up a PC 7424xp with two 6.5in orange pads, two 6.5in white pads and one 6.5in red pad. I've been doing my reading and watching videos and even scouring others forums for more info. I think I'm about to press checkout and be on my way.. My only problem is that I don't know what I should use for a quality swirl remover compound, pre-wax (polish), and then a sealant.

Auto geek has a ton of options and I really don't know the differences between them. I'm not looking to break the bank here, but some suggestions on good compounds, polishes, and waxes would be great!

Also, do you guys think I should get 5.5in pads instead of 6.5?

Get the 5.5 inch pads instead of 6.5. The 6.5's are too big for a PC 7424XP. Since you are a beginner, you cant go wrong with the Wolfgang twins, Total Swirl Remover and Finishing Glaze. Pick up some Blackfire Wet diamond all finish paint protection as your sealant. I also recommend getting two more of each pad. You also need lots and lots of quality microfiber towels.

practice first... mask off a test area and post your results. and as said above... 5.5 inch pads and MAKE SURE you have the correct size backing plate as well when using 5.5 inch pads.

If you haven't bought the PC ,I would recommend the Griots Garage Random Orbital instead. The PC is a great beginner unit but you will out grow it very quickly. The GG has more power and it doesn't bog down as easily as the PC. The 5.5 pads and 5" backing plate are still the way to go with a DA.

Like Otruba_843 said..... you can't go wrong with the Wolfgang or the BlackFire duo. If I have to pick, BalckFire takes it by a finger nail.
