Battery Coding?

So my car is throwing random codes at me and my cluster is not working on cold starts and starts working a few miles down the road.

I believe my car is on its first battery so I believe that is the culprit.

Is there a good indy or individual who can code a replacement battery so I can avoid the dealer?

Any thoughts would be helpful.

I guess maybe the question is too boring- if I go to Autozone and just put a battery in, am I gong to have more problems such as throwing codes and cluster failure?

Try strictly BMW, much cheaper than dealer. Or if you have a bt cable I believe you can reset it with that. There's a ton of threads on this if you search...

Find a independent in your area..

If u buy one from autozone it need to be registered if specs are the same. If the specs are different it needs to be coded and registered.

Do this the right way.. The independent should be able to clear errors and register your battery properly.
