Very disapointed with Bimmian lip spoiler

I ordered the lip spoiler for my 335 from Bimmian a couple of Friday's ago. Finally got around to installing it today. Or at least started to install it.

I opened the box, and the first thing I see is a tube of beta glue. No thanks. Second, it says it's for roof spoiler - meant to attach to glass, right? WTF?

Now I unrap the spoiler. The jet black finish looks more like someone spray painted an orange flat black. The finish is noticeably less shiny than the car. The orange peel makes it look like shit! I can't believe Bimmian passes this off as a finished product. It's being returned tomorrow.

Anyone have a lip spoiler they really like? I'm looking for subtle, something close or identical to the factory lip spoiler.

Does anyone have a feeling what it would cost to repaint a lip spoiler? The finish is pretty bad on this thing, the orange peel will need to be sanded down prior to painting.

I was guessing about $75, but local BMW body shop said $276 over the phone. They suggested I bring it by and they'll take a look, but I'm not holding my breath.

Bimmian was offering to credit me the cost of a re-paint, but that's more than the spoiler!

I think I offended the bimmian guy at the same time. Oops. I told him whomever is painting this stuff has no idea what they are doing. Maybe it was a summer arts and crafts project for a six year old?

I'll try to post some tomorrow. Too dark right now. Imagine an orange painted flat black....

hmmm......seems Bimmian is messing up and providing not so good quality products. That's not a good sign since their stuff is actually kinda overpriced to begin with.

You should just get the CF spoiler from Morristown BMW. And if you paint it partially, it'll look great on your car.

That's a good thing. We need to get the word out.

I have two quotes to get the spoiler re-painted. To fix the bimmian paint, and then properly paint the spoiler, it's over $200. The body shop I stopped at today also showed me how it does not properly fit.

I called Bimmian, and they will not refund my shipping. They will only give me site credit, and then only if they determine it's their fault! LOL.

Is it possible to post a listing / sticky of user recomended sites / dealers, and ones we recommend people avoid?
