Will an e92 M3 exhaust fit on my e90 lci 335i?
I know this might be a stupid question, but I need some definitive answers.
I'm looking to keep my car as OEM as possible, I've done the aftermarket thing and I'm trying to steer as far away as I can this time around. I'm able to get an M3 exhaust off of an e92 and I was just wondering whether or not it will fit on my e90 lci 335. Furthermore, would this cause issues with backpressure, etc? Has anyone done this before? Just need some help and advice here. Also, aside from Duke Dynamics are there any oem looking quad diffusors for the M-sport e90 lci? |

you're better off just getting quad tips then messing with an exhaust for a NA motor.

Just get the quad tips. I would consider a hacked on M3 exhaust leaps and bounds worse in respect to OEM than an aftermarket exhaust tip. It's just the tip, not the whole exhaust...
If you're going for looks, that'd be my #1 recommendation. |

The E92 M3 exhaust will not fit an E90 M3 as the E92 piece is too long. By extension, I assume it wouldn't fit a non M E90 either, however, I don't know that for sure. As others have pointed out, you would be better off going aftermarket. I would go for sound as well as looks and there is nothing special about the sound of a stock M3 exhaust.

Why would you even bother trying to fit that heavy pig under there? Do you think it'll sound the same as an M3? What are you trying to achieve?

cutting the exhaust off will not have any affect on resale value or warranty issues.
you can buy an aftermarket exhaust or get the OEM performance exhaust it doesn't matter which one you go with... I've cut the exhaust off every bimmer I've had and the dealership never said anything or cared at all. and they were aware I cut the mufflers off before re-installing the stock exhaust edit: just read through the comments. If you're only looking for quad tips, it definitely would be easiest to get a diffusor and cut off the stock tips to replace them with quads
