Cobb with 335is

So I just got my car back from the shop (needed new injectors and a few plugs).

Anyhow, I go to install stage 1 aggressive on my 2011 335is. Each time I've tried with Cobb, the engine wont turn over (kills the battery)....and I need to jump the car.

In fact this time, upon upload of the map the engine in neutral kept idling up and down and the throttle did not do anything at all. So I flashed back to stock, jumped the car and went to work.

Anybody know why Cobb uploads are doing this? Or experienced the symptoms with Stage 1 Aggressive on a 335is?

I really want to get this working on my car. The first time I uploaded car died, and then started throwing SES codes which made me bring into dealer for injectors.

Car is 2011 with 11.5K miles. Thanks in advance for advice/feedback.

Id say get a trickle charger so your battery doesnt die on you next time during the flash. And isnt the car supposed to be off during flash? Idk y your rpm was jumping around...

Why do you need to jump the car? Do not shut off the car or lose power when it is flashing. You could brick your DME.

The engine should not be spinning when you are flashing.

are you following COBB's recommendation?

don;t open the doors when flashing or touch anything for that matter. if your battery is not strong enough the car might go in to recovery mode and flash will fail.

Charge the battery full and put a trickle charge on the car while uploading the Cobb Firmware and Maps.

It needs to be installed without you opening doors , playing around in the car, and with a healthy battery.

A healthy battery should be able to install a Cobb in 20 minutes or less without a problem.

For more troubleshooting you may want to Call Cobb Directly.

What Jeff said + 10000

It doesn't matter whether it's an I or an IS. Just follow these instructions. I did and everything went fine.
