OEM Aero Lip Prices?

Hey guys, I just went to the dealership today to talk to the salesman about the OEM aero lip and he said the front alone would be an extra $1100. I've done some research and it looks like some of you are getting the lip for cheaper and from a vendor. I was wondering what the average price is on these aero lips and if I should buy the lip on my own and paint/install it. Thanks in advance for your help

Are you sure the dealer didn't quote you for the full aero kit ?

That was the price I got for the full kit (front and rear bumper) primed, but not painted.

Ordered mine through tuner motorsports for 317 +66 for shipping. I then ordered primer and factory matched spray paint from another place. Still waiting for the paint to come. It was 20 dollars per can and I ordered enough to pain those gay bumper markers and rear spoiler.

We'll see if I get a decent result.

I think I've read that longtran will sell you a painted one for four hundred something. Can't remember the price.

Dealer told me $1200 for kit, and about $1000 for paint and install, totalling $2200 for the full meal deal. Owch.

Can you post the URLs for those sites?

Here is the URL for the OEM front lip

http://www.turnermotorsport.com/html...ID=51110414371

I forgot the pricing it was 77 for shipping and 308 for the lip. I also ordered the oem glue. I don't know which will be better in the long run glue vs double sided tape. Though the tape definitely seems easier to apply

URL for the paint

http://www.automotivetouchup.com/index.htm

Just go through the menus and select your vehicle. I ordered several cans of primer and clear coat as well. And some sand paper. They have a good FAQ on the website on how to prime, paint and clear coat. Sounds like a lot of work, but should be fun to show your buddies how cool you are.

Plus why pay 80 bucks for painted bumper markers ? or 300 or more for a shop to paint something so small ?

$1100 for just the lip is nuts!

Longtran is a well established member who sells the lip painted and shipped for a very good price. I'd send him a PM to find out exactly how cheap.

You better install it yourself...it's super easy to do. Use the rest of your money for

Tisher BMW (now a vendor I think) sells the lip alone for $295 + SH (last time I checked).

I think Long sells it for like $475 painted and shipped. (GREAT deal)

Paint should run you about $100-$150. It's very easy to install. Just some double sided 3M tape and another person to help you hold up the lip.

Don't quote me on Tisher and Long's prices. That's what I remember from about a month or 2 ago.

Thanks for the feedback guys, yeah the dealer prices were ridiculous. When I first called him he told me they'll only sell me the full kit with lip, skirts and rear for $5000ish as a dealer installed option and when I asked him about the lip alone he said $1100. I'll look into those members and probably get it through one of them
