Damn dude, english is deep (from seattle) a bit far to get exhaust welded.. pretty darn close to oregon haha. they are awesome tho, went down there to tune my friends Evo. I think they have one of the fastest evos on the west coast.

It cost me $80 to get them removed, 2ft of pipe included. This was in Everett - took about 1.5hr. It's somewhat louder, but it's more of a deeper tone. The engine light doesn't come on because these are the secondary cats only, they are not monitored. It doesn't smell any different. I haven't tested emissions, but i'm sure it could still pass. |

These questions are ABSOLUTELY necessary bro!
I don't want the engine light coming on all the time! I don't want my ride to be smelly, or too loud. I didn't know you were talking about the secondary cats. Things seem to be ok with those. The problems appear when you delete the primary cats. That's what i am looking to do. I'm trying to put a performance exhaust system for under $1K. ![]() Quote:

Keep in mind, if your exhaust is too loud, it'll get picked up easy by the 5-0 and you'll get a fine (as per the 'pulled over' thread in this forum)... Emissions are not a big thing out here in WA though... so you can probably get away with not having them for a while... |

I had mine removed and I wish I wouldn't have... I have an e92 and VRSF catless DPs. Turbos smoked so bad after removing the secondary cats I was embarrassed to drive my car. Unfortunately I had it down with I was in SoCal and now no one will touch my exhaust to put them back in. One shop said they would, but wanted $300 to do so.
