Use two flathead screwdrivers to pry it up. Wrap them in a thin cloth so you don't scratch anything.

No. I just need one more person to make it complete. It was complete but ItalyBMW325 dropped out I guess. I haven't heard from him.

Hi there,

I'm writing to you from Asia. By chance I found your thread, I'm COMPLETELY SURPRISED someone was on the same thought of turning this 5 series idrive knob for 3 series car! WOW!.

I found the same idrive knob on a local shop but to discover it's for E60 and would not fit into my e90 325 (2006). I saw what you did but still I dun quite fully understand how you could make that work. I would really appreciate if you could enlighten me on my retro fit.

I could share more with you on what I did and to learn on how I could have my ride fit with that low profile knob.
