DIY Paddleshifters?

Sorry if this is a repost...but did this guy seriously make DIY paddleshifters????

He used a module called "Active Shifter" that they sell in Japan to make it work. I think the module is originally made for the E46 but also works for E90

The development of the Active Shifter is headed by a DIYer in Japan and he has since stopped further development on the unit. He made 10 sets of the Active Shifter last year for a group buy and the link you posted is the installation of one of those 10 units.

You can order an "M" wheel with the paddle shifters retrofitted for any steptronic (e90/e91/e92/e93).

Er.. we are talking about paddles that actually work. Do you know if the one from Tischer is plug and play with no modification or additional harness, modules, or ECU programming required?

They do "actually" work, but I don't know if you need any ecu programming or anything. You can ask Tischer. The little red buttons that that guy used looks gay to me and I wouldn't consider them paddles.
