[ASK] 2008 E93 Style 269 E60 fitment into E93
Hiya all,
Nice to be in this forum. i have just acquired a 2008 E93. So, here I am and I am looking for some advise. I have decided to fit 19 inch BMW Performance wheels style 269 to my 2008 335i E93. However, I found out that there are 2 fitments: 1. Fitment for E90/91/92/93 Front: 8J x 19 ET 37 Rear: 9J x 19 ET 39 2. Fitmen for E60/E61 Front: 8.5J x 19 ET 18 Rear: 9.5J x 19 ET 32 As much as I understood that the fitment for E9x is specifically made for the car, I am incline to fit wider wheels. I wonder what would be the effect on the fitment to the car? I am planning to fit M Performance Big Brake Kit in the near future and wonder if I go with the E60 fitment the brakes won't get in the way. Anybody out there have experience fitting the style 269 for E60 to an E9x? Please help. Thank you all! Thank you in advance for all the inputs. Josh Style 269 |

Welcome to the forums. Sure you can put wider wheels on the car.I see 4 potential setup, that i would like.
1. Front 19x8.5 et18 with 225/35/19 Rear 19x9.5 et32 +10mm spacer with 255 or 265/30/19 I would add spacer to rear, so it would match the front more, otherwise front would be more aggressive than rear. This would require fender roll to rear. If you use narrower tyre it will fit easier. 225 with 255 is factory size setup. 2. Front 19x9 et39 with 5-10mm spacer and 235/35/19. Rear 19x9.5 et32 with 265/30/19. At front 19x9 et39 is about 4mm from stock shocks. 10mm spacers are hub centric, but 5mm or 8mm aren't, but you can use vac motorsport hub extenders if you are worried about vibration etc. Front doesn't really need the spacer, but it will look better with it. Rear is fine with this setup. 3. Front 19x9.5 et32 with 235/35/19 Rear 19x9.5 et32 with 255 or 265/30/19 Once again this would be good with 10mm spacer at rear, so it would match the front more. 19x8.5 et18 and 19x9.5 et32 will extend almost to the same point (1mm difference). Or you could go 235/35/19 also at rear, so you can rotate the wheels between front and rear. With that tyre im pretty sure rear will fit without fender roll. 4. Front 19x9 et39 with 225/35/19 and 10-15mm spacer Rear 19x9 et39 with 255/30/19 and 15-20mm spacer Rear might need fender roll. You can also use 235/35 at front and rear. This all depends how aggressive setup you want, are you willing to have slight stretch on your tyres and are you willing to do fender modification. When you start playing with spacers and tyre sizes ,there is endless amount of possibilities. Or u could use setup, that doesn't require you do anything, if you don't want to 19x8 et37 with 235/35/19 and 19x9.5 et32 with 265/30/19. I would add 10mm spacer to front with that setup also. The recommend E9X setup is quite sunken in.
