Thumbs down Went to get my DPE fitted on the car and it does NOT fit!

I took my rims to the dealer today to put them on my car. The front wheels fit fine on the car, however, the back wheels does not fit on the hub!

Anyone else had this problem before?

This is my specs.

that's a bummer! i've heard alot of bad things about iforged but i've got a set and could'nt be happier where/who did you get them from? why would you take your car to the dealer to put your rims on? i'd hate to see how much the dealer charges to "install" wheels, probably cheaper just to invest in a floor jack?

center bore tolerances vary with each company, since they all use different cnc machining places.

They probably missed checking the centerbore before assembling your dpe's, and assumed that they would be ok. just poor quality control. Just ask them to bore out the wheels to the e90 specs on their dime of course, which should be 72.6. That should do the trick.........unless the bolt pattern is wrong also........but that's a different story.

GOOD LUCK !!!!!!!

This sounds safe. Another great one from iForgery. Sorry, not trying to jab at you but that's pretty bad quality from iForgery. Unrelated to that though, you should not be driving with wheels like that. Wouldn't be very fun if one of those things popped off.

dpe is known for making the wheels in the wrong offsets and often times people will have to run spacers just so it would fit. Don't get me wrong the quality is awesome but other than that they always mess up the fitment

Are you sure about this? I have a hard time believing this is true. Why would a "Custom 3 Piece Wheel" company offer their customers spacers for their $4000 set of wheels? Sounds like BS to me.

I have witnessed it a few times at my buddys shop when he installs them. One of his customers has a white A3 with dpe's that needed 4 spacers all around and that car did not have any lip at all. Another customer has a black e90 and his rear offsets were so high there was barely a 3" lip.

>>> Ok that might be the case, which I still can't believe. I always hear DPE is great quality and I've seen some of their 3 pc wheels and they do look high quality. Their 2 pc is another story As for the 3" lip, that is very standard on e90.

This is Mike from DPE.

I find this very hard to comprehend, feel free to give me a call at the office and i will answer all of your questions.

There are many miss conceptions with the wheel industry as a whole, and a lot of people do not fully understand them.

We have a set offset range for each car application. From Conservative to Aggressive. We tailor the fitment according to what you need.

Hub measurements are also standardized. In fact, most of our hub dimensions are for BMWs. Did your dealer try the front wheels on the rear? and the rears in the front? If they fit, then its the hub it self with residue buildup that caused the issue. We've seen this in the past and it's just a easy clean up of the hub area and everything will be fine.

Again, there are a lot of issues to look at when something doesn't fit. Speculation doesn't do anything to solve the issue. If you feel that there is a problem, we are 100% behind you to take care of your situation. Thats what makes us one of the best after-sale service providing wheels companies in the industry.

If your wheels were ordered brand new and the fitment isnt correct (wrong offset, etc... however within reason) give us a call, and as always, we will take care of everything for you and get it corrected. We've always took care of issues with customers.
