it has a lot more range! dual antennas in the front and another in the rear. the redline is also undetectable by police in case you drive a big rig or go threw a state that detectors are illegal(i think its only VA & WA). the 9500 just has a gps feature that the redline doesnt.

i dont really know. i just know thats something that escort tells people that this is the only detector in their line up that police cannot detect because in certain states big rigs cannot have them. i suppose it means that police have a scanner or something that they use to search for detectors in big rigs and this one doesn't give off a signal for that scanner to pick up.
