You may still see a very little mist of meth come out from the bypass valves in some situations. Maybe more so in 6ATs since they have a more gradual throttle closure at the rev limiter (since they are preparing for an upshift) than the 6MTs. But for the most part, the amount of meth won't be appreciable.

The fact that people are complaining about smoothing 0 is one of the funniest things i've ever read on these forums... scratch that... ANY forum - and exactly what would be expected from certain parties.
At this point in the game, I am fully aware that they will have a problem with anything that has anything to do with me. So we decided that we might as well have a little fun with them. Now they are upset because they thinks it's wrong for us not posted the highest dyno run. Most anyone at the forefront of any industry will always recommend revealing only what needs to be revealed at ay given time and nothing more. This way the competition never even knows where the real finish line is. It's not being malicious or shady. It's just being calculated. We like pushing the limits of the n54. And it helps to do so when it's done on our schedule. Bad things happen when you rush just for the sake of staying in the spotlight. Some people don't realize that for every 1 hour we spend showing what we have, we spend 100 hours working towards getting what we have. Plus it's always a little bit of fun to surprise people

Having something up the sleeve is always good, instead of playing catch-up.

I can't wait to see the next Vargas moves.

Here's some pics from last year. One pic is me testing a Procede/PWM meth tuned M3 at Buttonwillow. The other pic is getting pulled over on I-680 for speeding ("Officer, the speedo was off because of the larger diameter tires"). Instead of giving me a ticket, he asked me about tuning options for his domestic v-8. True story. Someone just happened to be taking the exit and took this picture and sent it to the owner of the car (Zoeb@Wheeldude)

I had a story similar, except I got pulled over while datalogging.

After he saw the laptop and I mentioned what I was doing he seemed a bit more at ease and let me go. Haha.

I try to pick a safe area and I usually do a dry run to make sure it's clear and this was the only time I didn't do that, of course.

OK so when will it be considered safe? After how many miles?

Is this the same Turbo that Vishnu is selling VFF700?

hmm?
Go ask EVO ppl about open source tuning and you'll find that open source killed every other tune available, and nearly killed full standalone ecu's on that platform. In case you haven't noticed open source tuning is just getting started on our platform and it's off to a good start.

Happy to say that we were the first to break 300, 400, 500, 600 and now 700whp with the N54

Captain Insano's Vishnu/FFTEC 6466 single turbo 335i
100oct+pwm meth
26psi
4th gear
STD corrected
No Smoothing (set to 0)

Full torque by 4300rpm! And a nice linear 700whp @ only 26psi, which suggests that there is plenty left in this 6466 turbo (should support over 850 WHP). The Capt has been running this car at Laguna Seca for the last year (albeit with 50whp less)

Uncorrected/Actual: 708whp 606wtq

Still some fine tuning to do with the WGDC table (it is currently based on the smaller 6262 turbo which isn't ideal but good enough for this initial testing). The 6466 spools just as quickly as the smaller 6262 but packs a serious punch and absurdly fast spool. Hope to run some 60-130s with it this weekend. And I hope to see 5.x seconds.

Both STD and Uncorrected/Actual results attached below:
Here's a fun fact I stumbled across tonight. Wikipedia defines 'powerband' as

"Specifically, power band is defined by the range from peak torque to peak horsepower (or sometimes to redline)."

Source;
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Powerband

By their definition I'd like to point out that the width of your powerband is approx 2900 rpm wide. Peak torque at 4300rpm, peak HP nearly at redline 7200rpm.
Very nice.

I have the ST on my Xi now, so we are part of the way there. It's a conservative tune now, but as I move off of crap 91 CA gas we can start to increase the power. I don't have the bigger 66mm turbo though, so top end wouldn't be quite as high as CaptainInsano's.
