Question for those who did DCT Paddle Retrofit

Is there a way to do it without having to remove the steering wheel? Or is removing the steering wheel the only way?

Now you got to order the nice billet aluminum paddles from JBSPEED. You unscrew the current paddle from the assembly and screw the new one in. Mine should be here tuesday!

Just need to remove the airbag. Disconnect battery first.

Even better if you replace the stock wheel with the M3 wheel while you're at it. M3 wheel + DCT shifters is one of my fav mods.

If you have an LCI you will need to do some re-wiring. Pre-LCI is simple plug and play

Lci steering wheel into pre lci car!

I am having trouble getting mine to work I have pre lci e92
I have swapped steering wheel from SSG to new lci wheel but paddles don't work!
I have been told I have to rewire, do you know if I could buy m3 dct paddles and swap them around, without changing MFL's (Multi functional buttons)

This is so annoying tring to figure out how these things work!
Any help? Advice? Will be much appropriated.

Not that I recommend it, because I don't, but a guy that bought M3 paddles from me was able to install without disconnecting the battery and has experienced no issues.

For the most part, for Pre-LCI I try to stick to M3 wheels/paddles. LCI tends to not be compatible with M3 DCT or pre-LCI, and requires a harness rewiring for paddles.

If the LCI MFB currently work on your pre-LCI car, I would expect that replacing your current paddles with M3 DCT would allow everything to work as expected, because M3 DCT should work natively with your car.

I've got a set of these in black I'm willing to let go of for a reasonable price. Maker offer if interested. Never installed.
