Read the quote I referenced...it's half of the $1,800 figure.

Whoever was looking for info regarding the inline pump from Vishnu, I have been running it for a few months now with no issues. E85 and all...

While we're discussing this...

The backend flash is required with the jb4 to run 100% e85 after the inline pump correct? And those are VIN locked to the car so I'd need an entire COBB app to myself?

The problem has been with the replacement walbro. Which in my opinion has been user and harware related. The Gates hose is very inadequate and it gets soft in e85 after a few days. One other issue which really isn't an issue is the plastic T which I thought was the problem but it's not! you just have to make sure the 1/4in line coming from the bucket is ALL the way in and get a good clamp.
I replaced the Gates hose with this other hose that I found and after talking to a few guys they have been running the same line with no issues. Part#fc332-04 i paid 15$ for 2ft locally. After looking it up online it's a little cheaper! I've had it in my car for about 3 days and no issues so far with 8gal of e85.

A few days is not a longtime but with the Gates hose I started having issues immediately to include slipping off about 4 times and finally it tore. This other hose feels and looks of way better quality. If anyone wld like a pic of it hit me up on my cell 505 908 4916.

well there is def a lot of people that try to do walbro install that have no mechanical skills what so ever. THAT IS THE MAIN PROBLEM WITH THIS DIY!

I did mine and i can tell you it will make a noticeable difference. ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE AT OR ABOVE 40% E85

i got my stock lpfp to work well up to 50% e85 but the fuel trims were pretty high. As soon as i installed my walbro 455 the car responded SOOO much better!

I did have a problem with my install, but i figured it out!
I didnt use the gates submersible line, i used a fuel injection hose i got from autozone. the problem i had (when the hose slipped off the ventury in the highway) was completely my fault. when I installed the hose it was really hard to get it in and i noticed i was damaging the inside of the hose, but i was in a hurry to get it done so i didnt care (idiot), about a week later the hose slipped off.
I took the pump out and i noticed my step to install the hose were not right. i removed the hose completely and what i did was the following

I have a gas stove at home, i heated up the hose to soften it used pliers to get them in. it was still not a very easy task but i got it ALL the way in.
hose cooled off and i couldnt even pull it out without the clamp!
i put everything back together (i did add the clamps back on) and now it has been about 3 weeks with no issues

i got the BMS flash and started adding more e85 and watching the logs

to tell you the truth 75% e85 was the best mix for my fuel system. And it was a lot better than 60% e85. logs looked great and pulled really hard

today i filled up with 100% e85 after running 90% for a couple of days

Logs look good and fuel demands are right on point, BUT after comparing the logs with the 75% e85 logs the 100% e85 log shows that hpfp does not have a strong output as it did when it was at 75%.

car does feel a little different, i cant tell if going above 75% had any increase in power but the car sounds a little different, spools 18psi almost instantly (even my friend noticed how quick it spooled with a higher mix of e85.

the last pulls i did i used the NLS and the car felt really good, it wanted to keep going. i could hear the exhaust shooting flames every time i shifted above 6k.

my next mod is to add meth to aid the hpfp with the fuel demands.

if you guys have any questions, just ask and i will get back to you as soon as i can!

Glad to hear most of the issues is due to installing error!

Fuel trim problems w/ e50 + LPFP + no BMS flash

I have the JB4 G5 + in-tank inline walbro + 45% meth, but no flash. When logging I was hitting fuel trim ceilings and triggering the fuel pump plausibility code within a couple hard pulls w/ just e50. Is this b/c I haven't done the flash yet, or do I have a tank problem? A mechanic did the install for me, so not sure how it's working out. If I do lower concentrations of ethanol, the fuel pump plausibility code takes longer to trigger, but still triggers, even when cruising on the highway at 1500rpm. So the trims cant be the problem the moment the code triggers at that point. I was not getting this error w/ e30 before the walbro inline upgrade. I have the gates $20/ft fuel submersible fuel line in there.

I would do the flash but trying to hold out for open source solution.

Clarification on previous post

When I was e50 after LPFP inline upgrade, I was getting half-engine light (with extra 29E2 and 29F2 codes) after 2-3 hard pulls while hitting fuel trim limits. After reducing ethanol concentration, half engine light would no longer pop up, leaving just the SES light w/ 2AAF fuel pump plausibility code that I never got before upgrading the LPFP.
