How do Carbon fiber parts hold up to Winter

I am looking at a CF trunk for my car, but I am wondering how they hold up to winter? or is it something that would have to come off the car for winter driving?

I have mine all year round. No issues. I would think it's better than stainless steel parts because CF parts will never rust.

That said, you have to get the fitment right. Else, the weather seals won't sit flush against the trunk lid.

Never had any issue with CF either.

CF would shatter if in Edmonton -35C degree weather (I'm from Edmonton lol) but that's only with a lot of impact. I also find it chips easily when hit with the direct force of say a rock chip. But as a trunk, that shouldn't be any issue.

Remember that hockey sticks which are designed to work in the cold and be beaten up in the cold are made of carbon fiber now.

My trunk was full CF reveal on the 328i, had it out all winter season, zero issues with it. Held up perfectly, and last winter had some pretty bad moments/storms.
